Baby no. 2 arriving next month and attempting to get out to Greece to see family with my son, which is tricky with all the current issues around travel.

Nearly 2 years ago I was invited to be part of a story about our time as some of the first boots on the ground in Southern Afghanistan, seems like a long time ago now (Summer 2006). This clip is one of the short ITV News pieces that was put together from the interview I did. It is fair to say, I was pretty apprehensive but, I think they have provided a good account based on the stories we all gave.

2006 was a tough time but I think it has moulded the way I lead my life and my values.

Would I do it again, now as a father in my 40's, I don't think so, it was a unique period...
